Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns follows the hard trodden boot imprints of our previous DLC's. Expect classic Vampire Survivors gameplay matched with the brilliance of Contra from across the years. Guns, headbands, explosions, robots, guns, aliens, did we mention guns?

When will Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns launch?

May 9th on Steam, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile. PlayStation formats will release when the PlayStation version launches in Summer 2024.

What platforms will Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns come to?

Steam, Xbox, Mobile (both Android and iOS) and Nintendo Switch. PlayStation in Summer 2024.

How much is the Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns DLC?

Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns will be £1.99 / $2.49 / €2,49. Check your local currency for pricing on launch.

As per our previous DLC, when working with partners on content, these have a very slightly higher price than our owned IP DLC as there are various costs involved in doing so.

We're still trying to be cheeky where we can and release content for free with other partners, stay tuned for more on this! It takes a long time!

What is in the DLC?

You'll get 11 characters, 22 weapons(!), 1 large Stage and 1 bonus stage, 30 in-game unlocks, a 6 Chapters Adventure, and the feeling of being a bad-ass Presidents Cousins Sisters dog saver.

Can I play local co-op in Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns?

Absolutely yes! Contra wouldn't be Contra without Bill and Lance, so why not grab your Lance (or Ariana, or Browny, or even your friendly Probotector) and head in to the Jungle of NeoGaluga together!

Are there new achievements for the DLC?

No, there are no platform level achievements for Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns. There are in-game achievements to unlock (in the Unlocks menu like normal), but no Xbox/Steam achievements.

Any reason there's no new achievements?

Yes, it's problematic enough to have achievements in our own DLCs, but those we can easily discount often and do giveaways with, basically we're in full control of them.

Collabs are different, there will be different business guidelines we'll have to follow to make and publish them, which means there will always be a risk that some achievements might one day far into the future become impossible to obtain, or sit behind a price tag too steep to some players. We know people hold their 100% achievements unlocked status in high regard, and we do our best to make sure that is achievable for everyone and not the few.

If there will ever be a way to separate DLC achievements from base-game achievements, then rest assured we will add separate achievement lists for every DLC, either collab or proprietary, but until then we prefer to play it safe and not risk to compromise anyone's completion rate.

How many weapons are in the DLC?

22 new weapons are in Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns. 11 of these are base weapons to collect, 11 are evolutions. The evolution method for these is the same as classic Vampire Survivors, so get creative with your choices to try and discover these.

How many characters are in the DLC?

11! 11 characters from the Contra universe enter the fray of Vampire Survivors when the DLC launches. Bill, Lance, Ariana, Falcon, Lucia and more. We say more because there are many more, but we like some surprises, y'know? Like the fact that there's a 12th character.

One big map?

Correct! NeoGaluga is under threat, and it's your mission to save it. You've only got 30 minutes though, and that clock is always ticking, Red Death waits for no Survivor.

Will Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns come with a fresh Adventure?

It does!

Are there new music tracks for Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns?

Yes! Yet again, we let our composers in to the kitchen on remixing some classic Contra tracks. There's 6 remixes and 13 classic Contra tracks.

How do I unlock the Operation Guns DLC in-game?

Once you've purchased Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns, simply select the NeoGaluga stage near the bottom of the list, and become patriotism!

How did this DLC even come to be?

You might have noticed a couple of very obscure hints in Vampire Survivors about how much we admire and remember fondly playing all the iconic game series sparked by KONAMI over the years, which is why when we got the opportunity to work with their Contra team we took it immediately!

It's been surreal, and also a lot of fun, to retrieve old memories of playing Contra with randos at the arcade or with friends on a home console and reintrepret them in a Vampire Survivors sauce. In fact we got a bit carried over and added more content to the DLC pack than initially planned, trying to pick & mix some of the old and some of the new, some of the obvious and some of the unexpected.

Vampires? This time? Maybe?
